um

updated version with some terrible design flaws tweaked. tomorrow i transfer to canvas and the fun begins

calm before the storm

found some old canvases, trying to come up with something to cover em with. here’s a quickie idea for one.

maybe he’s just slow

i cracked open a new sketchbook today and started off trying to get some concepts down of a stubby functionally retarded bear character. I’m not sure if the vapidness is really coming across.

UPDATE: gettin closer (read: dumber)

Flasher

I wanted to figure out a way to put flash into my posts so I could start putting some small animations in here as well and diversify the content a little. The system isn’t perfect yet (mostly because of a size issue I didn’t count on) but it’s getting there.
I’ve been wanting to work on […]

little shop of horrors

So I finally polished off my current sketchbook and not a moment too soon. I really hated the paper in it. Anyway, I filled up about 5 or 6 pages today with sketches. Alot of it I was working off of work and notes by the infamous John K. of ‘Ren and Stimpy’ fame and […]

not a bucket, a pail

two updates tonight?
I just drew this in about 30 seconds with a really dull 4b pencil. another quickie for the sketchbook sessions ‘wild west’ thread. i wasn’t gonna touch this, but the looseness really appealed to me. it seems like i’m starting to move in the direction i’d like with having freedom in my designs.

blast from the past

ok so way back when I ran a site called nj*twilight. It had a pretty good following, which I’m not really sure how that happened. I had it up a long long time and it saw quite a bit of changes over the years. It had work starting from when I was 16 up until […]

Oops

Apparently the new graphics don’t work so well in Internet Explorer, but look perfect in Mozilla/Firefox/Netscape. I’ll be looking into fixing this.

Face lift

The new look for the site is up, hope you like. Tomorrow regular updates return. Celebrate.

Workin hard on the new theme.
here’s a preview. click it for a full size version. let me know what you think.

Sorry there’s been no updates all weekend, I was busy entertaining a close friend before he is sent back to fight in Iraq in two weeks. Also I’ve been working on the site itself implimenting some new features and a new look, well actually a few new looks, very soon there will be a ‘theme […]

theater talk

First, creator of the hit teen-angst film ‘Ghost World’ and comic artist legend Dan Clowes will be releasing a new film next month. Based on a four page short from his serial comic ‘Eighball,’ ‘Art School Confidential’ will boast great writing and an amazing cast. You can read Clowes’ interview with ‘Ready Made’ here.
On a […]

classically trained to give up

still on a bit of a downer with life and death and work and cars breaking and all that. i’ll snap out of it soon. i just want more life in these drawings and more work to go up, i just haven’t had a moment to myself the last few weeks.

counting cars on the new jersey turnpike

sorry there’s been no updates, it was a rough weekend, I found out friday a friend was killed in an accident. I’m not sure what it will take to convince people not to drive drunk.
anyway, i had this mailed to me today. it’s my gradparents’ wedding photo from 1942. i have sketches ready, just not […]

Recovering from jerk chicken

I draw on Post-Its all day at work.
I wanted a character sheet sketched out for this update, but I spent the majority of my night trying to force pills into a cat.

i only eat candy

It’s 11 pm and I’m at my house for the first time in 64 hours so I’m a little beat. One small one that needs a little work (Santa Cruz screaming hand parody). Actually posting this makes me want to redraw it and fix some of the flaws that are knawing at me. Expect that […]

sleepy.

Flyer for a show on friday. Been awhile since I only worked in black in white, I need more practice….obviously.
